Lease Signed, Beautification Begun

Studio grand is wrapped air-tight and ready to take on some serious dust.

Very pleased to announce that we found a home for The Music Space in the heart of Towson at 5 W. Chesapeake Ave right off York Rd.  It's a terrific location, nestled between the Fractured Prune and 7 W. Bistro.  Since the property was previously a music studio, the main room is already set up perfectly for our in-house studio.  Call the studio line at 410-321-9060 to set up lessons to begin after our GRAND OPENING October 1st.

On Wednesday of last week, our beautiful Yamaha C3 grand piano arrived and, right now, that's the only thing in the room aside from tools.  Lots of sanding, painting, carpeting, and general beautification to be done before all the studio gear and instruments move in for good.

Non Applicable has been releasing EDM over the past few months through his SoundCloud account and I'd like to call your attention to a couple of his more recent works.  Though starting on piano, lately I've been helping him with production of original material - working with song structure, effects, and giving writing suggestions where appropriate.  Really cool stuff.  Have a listen below:

Muûsikko- Endings

Proud to announce the release of my student Mat's first record available for download with the option of donation over at his bandcamp site.  Endings is an artfully mixed collection of original material with public-domain samples intertwined throughout to create a sound that is ambient, very experimental, and entertaining throughout.  Soundscaped noise, vocal samples, and effected guitar give each song a specific kind of "air" and personality.  Endings is certainly just the beginning for Muûsikko.  A very cool record - give it a spin:

Mat's been taking lessons with me for a number of years now and has established himself as a solid drummer, guitarist, pianist, and most importantly, musician.  Nice work Mat!
